In the ongoing electoral battle leading up to the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again directed his verbal ammunition towards Rahul Gandhi, the scion of the Congress party. The Prime Minister’s recent comments during his campaign trail have revolved around Gandhi’s decision to contest from Wayanad, Kerala, in addition to his traditional stronghold of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi Continues Sharp Critique of Rahul Gandhi, Predicts Wayanad Loss

PM Modi’s latest dig came during his rally in Nanded, where he asserted, “Like Amethi, ‘shehzada’ will flee Wayanad too.” This remark adds to a series of similar comments made by Modi in recent days, where he has consistently predicted Rahul Gandhi’s defeat in Wayanad, drawing parallels to his loss in Amethi during the previous elections.

The PM’s scathing criticism didn’t stop there. He further taunted the Congress scion, stating, “‘Jaise Amethi Se Bhagna Pada…’ (Had to run away from Amethi…)” during his speech, suggesting that Gandhi’s move to contest from Wayanad is indicative of an imminent defeat in the region.

These comments from Modi come amidst a charged political atmosphere as campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections gains momentum. With Phase 1 of the elections already concluded, both the BJP and Congress are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to sway voters.

The Congress party, on the other hand, has been vehemently defending Gandhi’s decision to contest from Wayanad, highlighting it as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s presence in South India. However, PM Modi’s relentless attacks seem to have put the Congress leadership on the defensive, prompting responses from various party members.

Meanwhile, reactions from the Congress camp have been mixed. While some leaders have sought to counter Modi’s remarks, others have opted to focus on campaign strategies and rally their supporters in Gandhi’s favor.

It’s worth noting that PM Modi’s critique isn’t limited to Rahul Gandhi alone. His comments often target the broader Congress leadership, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul’s mother and former Congress President, who is currently a Rajya Sabha member.

As the electoral battle intensifies, it remains to be seen how these verbal skirmishes will impact voter sentiment and ultimately, the outcome of the elections. With Wayanad emerging as a key battleground, the contest between Rahul Gandhi and his opponents is expected to garner significant attention in the coming days.
